When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, the Company saw an opportunity amidst changes in consumer shopping behavior who used more online services and needed food products that were practical, delicious, and high quality. So the initiative to start a frozen food business emerged from the hobby of the company owner, Annisa Yumaladini, who likes sending food to her relatives and friends. One food that is always liked by relatives and family is Samosa, a typical Middle Eastern snack made from pastry shells filled with fried or grilled meat or vegetables. This Samosa recipe was developed a long time ago by one of Annisa's grandmothers using Indonesian spices combined with authentic Middle Eastern spices. This Samosa dish has always been a typical menu that is usually served at special family events until finally, Annisa decided to re-cook the recipe and sell it as the first product from the Nagara Foods brand.
The name Nagara Foods means Kingdom of Foods. The word "Nagara" itself can be interpreted as a territory controlled by a king, and "Foods" in English means 'a lot of food'. The vision of Nagara Foods is to become King in the hearts of many food lovers in the world who are associated with delicious taste and quality original ingredients. The name 'Nagara' itself is inspired by a combination of the names of Annisa and her husband's first daughter and second son. So from this name, there are also great prayers and hopes that this brand can be a blessing to the universe.
Currently, Nagara Foods presents the appetizer product category under the brand name Snacks SukaRasa by Nagara Foods (SukaRasa). SukaRasa has two types of products with several variants, namely Homemade Samosa with three variants: Beef, Garlic Cheese, and Chicken, and also Homemade Dimsum with 3 variants: Shumai Dimsum, Shrimp Chicken Dimsum, and Tofu Skin Spring Roll Dimsum.
